I found a home in MIDC after a long-time dance friend and former member invited me to try out a practice. I was hesitant after watching a video melding hip hop and Irish dance, but I quickly fell in love with the fusion. 8 years later, I still love performing with these ladies and catching up with them each week as they've become some of my closest friends!

I have been a longtime fan of MIDC since the very beginning. With no prior dance experience, I started dancing in Jigs & Swigs with my twin Cynthia, an MIDC member. I loved it so much, that one day I decided to join! MIDC has been a great source of companionship, helped me stay active in a fun and positive way, and has shaped me into the person I am today.

As a little girl, Irish dancing quickly became part of my life after watching Riverdance on VHS. I danced and competed with Trinity for over a decade, however, I thought with moving on to college and nursing that my chapter with dance had ended. When I graduated, I happened to see MIDC perform at Irish Fest and my life changed forever! Yes, adults can dance too! I have made so many memories through MIDC. It’s truly a safe space to have fun, exercise, explore events throughout Wisconsin, and meet friends who all love the same thing.
